Debut at the PDC World Darts Championship 2022

Kleermaker made his debut at the PDC World Darts Championship in the 2022 edition. In the first and second rounds, he secured victories of 3-1 in sets against Greek player John Michael and Australian player Simon Whitlock, respectively. In the third round, he defeated Joe Cullen 4-3, but was defeated in the fourth round by James Wade with a scoreline of 0-4.
