Josh Payne obtained his PDC Tour Card in December 2015 after finishing in the Top-2 of the PDC Youth Tour.  Prior to this, Josh had competed in both BDO and PDC competitions, winning events on both the Youth and Challenge Tours, as well as the World Championships.

Once Josh Payne earned a spot on the PDC Tour, he swiftly adjusted to the higher level of competition and has gone on to win two Players Championship championships since then.

Since then, The Maximiser has made appearances in all the big television tournaments, with the highlight being a run to the quarterfinals of the UK Open back in 2019.
