Geert Nentjes - "The Spear"
Born on September 4, 1998, in Urk, Netherlands, Geert Nentjes is a dynamic Dutch darts player who has made a significant impact within the PDC (Professional Darts Corporation). In the darts community, he's primarily recognized by his nickname "The Spear". This alias was chosen by the audience during a broadcast of RTL7 Darts at the 2020 World Championship. Prior to this, he was affectionately known as "De Zoet", a moniker he's had since birth.
Professional Career
Geert's talent and determination led him to his first appearance at the World Darts Championship in 2018. However, his debut saw a first-round defeat, losing 3-0 to Nathan Aspinall. But earlier that same year, Nentjes showcased his potential by reaching the quarter-finals of the PDC World Youth Championship. His participation in the 2019 World Championship unfortunately again resulted in a first-round exit, this time at the hands of Kim Huybrechts.
With a passion for darts and an undying drive to constantly improve, Geert Nentjes is a name to watch in the coming years within the sport of darts.
