Gary Anderson, born on December 22, 1970, in Musselburgh, is a Scottish darts player known as "The Flying Scotsman." He belongs to an elite group of players who have won back-to-back World Championship titles, achieving success in 2015 and 2016 at Alexandra Palace, solidifying his name as one of the most successful players in the history of the sport.
Early Successes
In 2007, Anderson won both the International Darts League and World Darts Trophy events before joining the PDC circuit two years later.
World Championship Triumphs
After reaching the final of the World Championship in 2011, where he lost to Adrian Lewis, Anderson got his revenge in the 2016 final by defeating Phil Taylor, having defeated Lewis the previous year.
